Huda Elserari

Huda is an entrepreneur and a seasoned Libyan journalist who has been at the forefront of the media scene in Libya and the Middle East region for more than 15 years. She was named as one of the most influential women in the Arab world by Arabian Business magazine.
Born and raised in Libya, Huda moved to Amsterdam where she started her family with Dutch Libyan husband and author Mgahed Albusaifi. She then moved to Qatar where she established Libya AL AHRAR – a news station which she managed until 2014.
The success achieved with Libya Al Ahrar earned her a reputed spot in the regional media scene and paved the way for her next endeavor: the 218 Group – one of the leading Libyan, Arabic speaking channels specializing in entertainment, sports and political news.

In her current role as founder and GM of the 218 group; she continues to strive to represent the Libyan people and her native country Libya to educate the world about its historic values and culture.
A pioneer in her own right, Huda was the first Libyan woman to successfully create and manage specialized TV stations, including the dedicated sports site “Rimessa”.
She is dedicated to human empowerment and the freedom of journalism and is an active advocate for humanitarian causes and the wellbeing of others - especially for people of determination.
